The sooner the better — Black Swan Photography only takes limited sessions each month. I recommend booking 2–3 months in advance of your desired session date. For maternity photos, I recommend planning your session for the 7th or 8th month of your pregnancy.
Up to 6 family members are welcome to join your session. For additional members please discuss with Black Swan Photography.
Not at this time, but I do provide a personalized styling service. We can discuss color palettes, clothing styles, coordinating amongst family members, and dressing for the environment for your session. You can use this as inspiration for your own shopping adventure or I can provide direct links to purchase clothing. I'm as involved as you would like me to be in planning your session wardrobe.
Black Swan Photography is lucky enough to be located in the beautiful Northern area of Old Town Alexandria. Since I do not have a permanent studio space, I will travel almost anywhere for a session. Sessions within a 25 mile radius of Old Town are included in the session fee, and locations outside that radius require an additional fee.
Black Swan Photography loves animals! Whether your pet is invited to the session will be discussed on a case-by-case basis as not all locations are conducive for a stress-free and safe environment for your furry friend and you. I will require an assistant to participate in your session to stay with your pup while you smile for the camera.
Only select packages include digitals. Access to a la carte high-resolution images with the rights to print and share online can be purchased in sets of 1, 5, 10 or 20 digital images upon purchase of a qualifying package.
Black Swan Photography has curated collections with varying combinations of prints and products. Purchase of a qualifying package allows access to the a la carte product catalog which will provide you the widest range of options for display of your art collections and albums alike.
You're beautiful just as you are, so I don't Photoshop beyond fine-art retouching unless you ask! As standard practice, I will only remove pesky temporary things like blemishes or a small scrape on the kiddo.
